Tattoo Kid is a playful brand concept for temporary Polynesian-style tattoos designed for children. Traditional Polynesian tattoos carry deep cultural meaning and are created through a slow, symbolic, and highly intentional process. We were asked to combine an ancient cultural tradition with a new, contemporary context and a defined target audience, resulting in a visual identity that introduces children to cultural storytelling in a fun and accessible way.
The brand balances authenticity and playfulness, translating the visual language of Polynesian patterns into a child-friendly world, while communicating respect for the origins and symbolism behind them.
